Our History
Halo Pharma was created in 2006 to launch a new contract manufacturing organization to meet the needs of the expanding specialty pharma, biotech, big and small-to-mid size pharmaceutical customer base. In 2008, Halo acquired the New Jersey facilities of Abbott Laboratories. Halo’s leadership team and the technical personnel at the Whippany facility have an average of over 30 years of experience in providing development, manufacturing, and testing services to a variety of customers including big pharmaceutical companies, specialty pharma, and the biotech industry.
The Whippany facility was originally constructed in 1972 for Knoll Pharmaceutical and was expanded and modified repeatedly over the years in order to add new capabilities and stay abreast of cGMP.
Many of the highly-skilled scientists and technicians who operated the facility during this time continue to do so today as part of Halo Pharma. Their involvement has allowed Halo to provide customers with a continuity of solid, dependable performance.
Halo Pharma is a forward moving company, looking to expand its business opportunities, capabilities, and clientele. The company is in the process of acquiring additional facilities which will allow it to serve even more customers, and a wider variety of projects.
